Piper Perabo, 30, plays Gabriella in 'Good Morning Baby', showing at the Rushes Soho Shorts Festival from this Friday until 4 August. For information see www.rushes.co.uk

Filming Good Morning Baby was...

Great. It was filmed in New York last summer so it was nice to be on my doorstep for once. The director Lisa Leone is fantastic.

A phrase I use far too often is...

"I'll talk to you about it later." My girlfriends and I are constantly saying it. Some day we will get together and tell each other about these things.

I'm very good at...

Gardening. I love to get out there early in the morning with my puppy. But by 9am it's already too hot and sticky in New York - it's gross.

But I'm bad at...

Exercising. Well I do quite a lot of yoga but I get intimidated by fancy gyms.

If I weren't talking to you right now I'd be...

Having a coffee and scrubbing up from being in the garden.

Next time I visit London...

I will hopefully be promoting my new film by Chris Nolan, The Prestige, out later this year.

In moments of weakness I...

Have a cigarette, especially when I'm nervous.

I wish more people would take notice of...

Dropping cigarettes in the street. And I find it weird how people don't seem to notice each other.

One thing that never fails to shock me is...

Live music. I'm amazed at how awesome it is.

A common misperception of me is...

That I'm younger than I am, but I will probably moan when it stops.

You know me as an actress, but in a truer life I'd have been...

A librarian. I am most relaxed at the library.

In a nutshell, my philosophy is:

Not sure, I'm working on it.
